Abigail Kimbell
Board member
Abigail Kimbell was born in Newnan, Ga and is now raising her daughter in the same supportive community. She received her Bachelors in Management and Hospitality from the Georgia State University and her Master’s in Business Administration at the University of West Georgia. In 2023, she received her certification as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner.
As a baby, she experienced significant hearing loss due to birth complications. Her mother used her education in music to utilize music therapy techniques to assist her in strengthening her ability to focus on sounds and strengthen her hearing. She has wonderful memories growing up singing in a trio with her mom and sister. Now, as a mother of an autistic daughter, she sees the healing power of music every day as it impacts her daughter’s mood and ability to focus.
To Abby and her family, music is more than a sound – it’s a way of healing.
